Since front-end performance has become very important these days, I would like to help bring this module back to life and port it to Drupal 8 / 9. I will also provide basic support for the Drupal 7 version.

The project link is https://www.drupal.org/project/lazyload.

  • Link to project: Lazyload
  • Record of attempts to PM owner and maintainers: Around July, 2019-09-12

Moving the ticket to the Drupal.org project ownership queue. I didn't hear back from the current maintainers.

Changed category back to "Support request" as prescribed in the protocol for ownership transfer.

Note: The protocol for becoming a maintainer requires you to not only post an issue, but also to try contact the present owner (Damien Cirotteau) of the project directly, and to document these contact attempts in the issue summary.

There is no record of this. Changing status to "Needs work".

I sent them another email today (screenshot attached). Personally, I feel like if the current owner has not replied in 3 months, they are no longer maintaining the module. Also, the last commit on the module was 7 years ago. Any help will be appreciated. The reason I'm asking for this transfer is because I don't want to create a duplicate module although it is an easier approach.

OK, I now see that there is a mention of a contact attempt in comment #2, it was just never added to the issue summary.

I've transferred the project to jigarius.
