Drupal driver for SQL Server and SQL Azure has several support requests and patches in the issues queue with no feedback from the developers. I would love to be able to migrate them into 8.x-1.0 and move rc4 to a full release. Please let me know if anyone is monitoring this. Could you please merge them, or grant me the privs to co-maintain the project?

I have received no response from the current maintainers for over two weeks. I've also contacted the two maintainers individually with no response. I would like to merge in the outstanding pull requests and move the project from "release candidate" to a full release.

Added link to project to issue summary and reset priority to "Normal".

Looks like all conditions outlined in the protocol for ownership transfer has been fulfilled.

The project owner posted two comments right yesterday. I will send a message to the owner, if he doesn't post a comment here in the next days.

My bad. Misread the logs.

@gisle Actually, your comment was correct, on July.
Since one of the comments posted after the project owner's comment is pointing the user to this issue, I hope the user will comment here too.

Any word from the current maintainer?

Title: Offering to maintain sqlsrv » Offering to maintain Drupal driver for SQL Server and SQL Azure

I wrote a message to the project owner.

Hello David,

I am writing you because Beakerboy (https://www.drupal.org/u/beakerboy) offered to maintain the "Drupal driver for SQL Server and SQL Azure" module (https://www.drupal.org/project/sqlsrv).

May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3056186 about accepting/declining his offer? Without a publicly visible reply on that issue in the next two weeks, Beakerboy could be made the new maintainer of the module.

Best regards,

I haven't been very responsive though lately, bussy on other projects, but I try to keep an eye submitted patches.

@david_garcia Does that mean you decline the offer to maintain the project done from Beakerboy?

It looks like he’s not going to answer.

Have you made any decision on how you would like to handle this?

beakerboy’s picture

I guess if I don’t hear anything soon, I’ll have to change it back to ‘unassigned’.

The maintainer already answered; I was just giving the opportunity to him to be more explicit.
I take comment #10 to mean There isn't any need of a new maintainer, as I am keeping an eye on posted patches. We also take actions when the project owners don't reply, which is not the case here.

gisle’s picture

I agree with the interpretation of #10.

The maintainer is clearly active: #3028215: Can't send email using Simplenews when using MSSQL server.

An offer to co-maintain should be left in the project's own issue queue as per this procedure – not moved here. I suggest that you move it back.

I see that you've commented om two issues, but there are no reviews and no patches. Showing greater engagement (i.e posting patches and reviewing patches) is a path that sometimes lead to co-maintainership.
