The function has been deprecated for Drupal 8.0, the entity storage method must be used instead.
Before
entity_load_by_properties('node', ['status' => TRUE]);
After
\Drupal::entityTypeManager()->getStorage('node')->loadByProperties(['status' => TRUE])
