Problem/Motivation

I've noticed that @ckrina has been taking more and more leadership on usability related issues. She has been actively participating UX calls, and helping with initiatives such as Admin UI & JavaScript Modernisation and Media initiative.

Oftentimes when I've been committing usability related issues, I've asked help for help reviewing those issues from Cristina. Given that she has already shown traits of a good maintainer, I think it would be a great idea to add her as a usability maintainer.

Yay! She is doing so much and recognizing that with this would be nice. That said, it would be important for her to accept the responsibility as well :)

Definitely! I've worked with her professionally, and she has guided me within the community initiatives as well as a mentor. She has a wealth of knowledge and passion around usability, ux and design, and certainly for Drupal!

1,000 times yes. @ckrina is absolutely invaluable!

Patch looks clean! You'll need to get ckrina to RTBC the patch (that is the normal thing for adding to MAINTAINERS to make sure people actually want to take on the responsibility of formally being a maintainer).

Waw, thank you all! :D

That said, it would be important for her to accept the responsibility as well

Agreed, I understand the responsibilities that come with it and I'm happy with them. :)

This is a great idea, your contributions have been fundamental and inspriing!

@ckrina++ for stepping up!

This would formalize what @ckrina has been doing for quite a while already: leadership, facilitation and stewardship in getting more and better design done in Drupal. I hope she will continue to do this for a good while :)

(The "usability" label is getting old though. A more generic "Design" would be better?)

Very great idea!

@ckrina thinks always 3 steps ahead! So nice to work with her on the admin-ui redesign!

Yay! +1 for this. Cristina has been a very reliable source of UX guidance in the weekly UX meetings and I think she will make a great topic maintainer.

Committed this since we now have signoff from @ckrina, the other current usability maintainers and Dries. Since @ckrina is a new maintainer, I've added the "Maintain issues" permissions for the core project (gives permission, for example, to assign issues to other maintainers).

Welcome to the core maintainer team! 🎉

Added membership on https://groups.drupal.org/core as well so @ckrina can post announcements there as well.
