Media Initiative
Authors and editors need simple drag-and-drop media and asset handling. Targeted features include WYSIWYG integration to easily select from existing media library that supports multiple upload and expanded media formats (video, social media).
What are we working on?
The Media Initiative's objective is to provide a simple media solution to make Drupal 8 easy to use out of the box for basic use cases.

Join weekly meetings
Community members are invited to attend our weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 14:00 UTC (what is that in my timezone?). This meeting is intended to provide a forum for status updates, discussion, feedback, etc. Feel free to propose agenda items ahead of time in the #media channel on Drupal Slack.
The meetings are text-only, and transcripts of past meetings are available at the meeting archive.
