Google fonts not loading. Non-SSL link.

Reroll the patch so that it uses the current protocol, so either HTTP or HTTPS.

In Drupal 8 we can embedded the font family in .libraries.yml file of our subtheme like this
fonts:
css:
theme:
'//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Sans:regular,bold': {type: external}
So it will work globally.
Or if you want to import url for a single file just use this
@import url(//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Sans:regular,bold);
