On a whim, I installed this in a D8 testing site via composer and was very surprised to discover that it not only broke the site in a way that required advanced knowledge to repair, but based on the issues and comments in the queue, it's been broken for years. Someone really needs to remove/block this module from being installable via Composer. I see there's no D8 link available on the modules page, which is a good thing.

This module has been deprecated for Drupal 8.
For Drupal 8: the Admin Toolbar provides an experience similar to admin_menu with the core toolbar.
