Hello All,

Has anyone been approached by patent trolls about your website? A patent troll contacted us claiming we are infringing on their patent. They claim when we hover over the menu bar to view the sub menu’s hyperlinks, it is using non-AJAX elements .

Have you seen a situation like this before and were you able to get rid of the troll? The claims they are making seems to be on most websites and is standard on many themes.

Any advice will be helpful on how to get rid of them.

Inform them that direct contact is harassment, and that any further contact should be directed to your attorney. Provide an attorney. They'll go away. May cost you a few dollars in attorney fees though.

Or you can tell them they are morons and that there is no such thing as a patent on HTML menus.
