0️ Space to discuss your thoughts on the proposed governance changes
| sparklingrobots | I haven't had the bandwidth to process these yet. :grimacing: |
| amyjune | me neither - taking the time this weekend |
| rubyji | I don’t know if I’ll ever have the energy to get back into this stuff. The whole process has been so demoralizing. But I really appreciate people who are engaging with the process. |
| mdrummond | Yeah. I read through it enough to think it seemed mostly okay. I’d like to make a comment somewhere that it would be good to have more about focusing on the importance of physical and emotional safety, but the act of finding where to do that is a task in and of itself. |
| hrodrig | I have also admittedly skimmed because life is interesting at the moment, however, I really do appreciate the level of thoughtfulness and concern that's immediately apparently upon reading the doc. They definitely seemed to listen and pay attention to what folks had to say. |
| tim_nafziger | I'm struck by how critical this document is of the Drupal Association on page 8 and 9. Given that this is a document written by a committee, I'd expect to see more circumspect language here. Seeing such strong language as "The Drupal Association is at a crossroad" suggests to me that they heard very strong critical feedback in their listening work. |
2️ Expanding the DD&I leadership team! We are looking to add more members to our team :) read more about the team & responsibilities:
| sparklingrobots | If anyone wants to chat privately about what being on the leadership team is like, my DMs are open! |
3️ open floor - are things you’d like us to discuss today? _you can also DM me to bring up something anonymously_
| amyjune | New jersey camp has its CFPs open, as well as Midcamp. |
| amyjune | And I believe Florida's will open with in a month |
3️ 0️ Is anyone interested in collaborating on something for this:
| mdrummond | If we think we’re capable of doing so, I’d like to consider us trying to do an online event for this. |
| rain | This sounds really need. I'd love to help out! |
| mdrummond | I think an online event is probably the best way to reach our target audience. But it may be difficult to do a workshop online? An hour webinar is often challenging. Trying to do more than that—which might be necessary if we work on actual proposals—seems hard. And it would be challenging to help individuals, which is easier to do in an in-person workshop setting. |
| mdrummond | I replied to the tweet to get some info, and turns out, they don’t want events for specific tech stacks. |
| mdrummond | So this will be a no-go. I still asked if they might be willing to share some resources. We’ll see. |

| Nick Wilde | Also, although 95% uninteresting for most here given locations, I've got my second Drupal meetup that I'm organizing happening in a week - in Victoria BC.
