When there are no items selected for an entity reference field, the label still shows up. I will attach a patch that fixes this issue.

The patch in #2 still applies to 8.x-1.x-dev and fixes the issue for me as well.

I patched 8.x-1.1.
There was no change.
An empty term label is displayed.
Maybe it depends on my theme.

Please tell me what is the difference between this patch and "#2924234: If there is no term, the label is displayed." ?
