I am using 8.x-1.x branch of the module since Acquia is running only Solr 4. I configured my index to have type specific boosting, but when I look at a set of results, it doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever. The types are not in the order I would expect for just a basic query with no filters.

Where should I look to begin debugging this?

The corresponding processor acts during indexing. Did you re-index your content after enabling it?

I'm having the same issue with elasticsearch_connector and this was assigned as a related issue. I'm having trouble getting any responses to the bug reports. It seems like this is a bug with Search API possibly instead of the individual modules.
