In the Webform Demo: Event Registration System module the 'Demo: Event' content type (/node/add/webform_demo_event) now includes a 'Maximum number of registrants' which is used to set the 'Demo: Event Registration' webform's total submission limit dynamically using a 'Settings: Handler' (/admin/structure/webform/manage/demo_event_registration/handlers)
