Description:
Currently, layouts can provide their own icon image which can be used in various interfaces. These icons could be in any size, color, dimensions, or style. As a result, user interfaces suffer as consistency is lost between different icons.
To address this problem, a new layout configuration has been added which can be used to dynamically generate an icon as an SVG. This new configuration, "icon_map", will improve admin consistency and allow for richer UIs in the future.
The "icon_map" configuration is a two dimensional array representing the visual output of the layout.
For example, a layout configured like this:
layout_twocol_bricks:
label: 'Two column bricks'
icon_map:
- [top]
- [first_above, second_above]
- [middle]
- [first_below, second_below]
- [bottom]
would result in a dynamic icon like this:
![]()
