I can't figure out how to abort or delete a job item if the source node has been deleted.

  • Create a continuous translation job assigned to a local translator that immediately initiates translation of nodes.
  • Create a node.
  • Verify that a local translation task has been created.
  • Delete the node.
  • How does one abort that job item?! For me it is completely indestructible!

If there is no way to do this then I think it qualifies as a bug instead of just a support request. Image of the error is below.

Job item cannot be aborted because source no longer exists.

We have this issue on a huge production site. This is actually critical and should definitely be labeled as a bug. Collective jobs with dozens of items are blocked and cannot be completed because of a few missing nodes (deleted originals).

Will post info here if we find a solution to this issue.

I created some patch that automatically puts JobItem with missing entity reference to status aborted. It's a kind of a solution .... but i'm not sure that will satisfy all requirements for this issue.

The patch applied, but did not seem to work for me. The job item was not automatically aborted, and even when I aborted it through the UI, other job items in the same job cannot be "Save as Completed" because drupal gets an error attempting to load the non-existent source of the other now aborted job item.
