My content type has an image field. I render the image with a block created with Views.

I want this image field to get the Microdata attribute itemprop="image". I tried to do it directly inside my .twig template but it didn't work because the itemprop has to be inside the <img> and Views generates this <img>, not my template.

Is it possible to insert itemprop with Views?

I'm working with Drupal 8.

Which twig templates did you try?

I think Views just uses the normal FieldFormatter for image fields, so you should be able to add some attributes in template_preprocess_image_formatter I would think. Did you try going that route?

I used my own template to build a full page: page--article.html

I don't even know what is "template_preprocess_image_formatter" then no, I didn't try in this way!
