While migrating D6 to D8 I've noticed the pageviews count hasn't carried over. This is disappointed as some of my pages have over 1 million views, anyone know how get that data over?

Hello Tytest,

There are 2 modules available to count our website page views.
1) Counter
2) Node view count

Out of these 2, which one have you used?

Neither of those modules is installed. I believe the page view count in Drupal 6 and Drupal 8 are done with the core Statistics module (Logs access statistics for your site)

1. run Recuva. Later you will see the window of recuva. Click Next to proceed

2. in the next window you will be faced with an option where you have to specify the types of files that you would search/restore. There are 7 options that you can select include

Picture: will show all file types picture/photo
Music: displays all types of files such as music, mp3, mp4 etc.
Documents: displays all types of files like documents,
docx, txt etc.
Videos: will show all file types videos
Other: this last option is used when the type of file you are looking for is not
from the above file or type 4 this means that when you choose this option
then all file types will be displayed/searched.

Is there a way to manually import the pageviews from core statics module?

How did you run the migration, drush or with the UI?

Was the statistics module enabled on the D8 site before you ran the migration?

Ran the migration with the UI as Drush seemed a little complex.

That is a good question, I am almost positive the Statistics module was enabled at time of migration but not 100% sure. Do you know of a command in Drush I can use to carry over only that Stats data?

Unfortunately, migrating statistics data for D6 and D7 hasn't been done and isn't a high priority, #2500521: Upgrade path for Statistics 7.x and 6.x. The issue title and tags have only recently been changed to add the D6 migration. Don't know why there wasn't already an issue for D6 but there is now, thanks to you.

I suggest commenting on the issue. It can help to raise the priority.
