tried it with Safari and Firefox on Mac, when you select the option the page, the select form doe not stick and the page is accessible to the public.

Same problem here (with WinXP and Firefox 3.0 and IE7). Checked 'premium' option isn't saved.

Known issue with the current release and will be fixed as soon as possible. For now, either do a CVS check out of HEAD or apply the patch from #11 in this issue: http://drupal.org/node/112127#comment-928509
