We upgrade this AM from views_slideshow 7.x-3.2 to 7.x-3.4 on one site on a multi-site install. This caused the front page of a different site to white screen with "500" errors in the error log, specifically:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function label() on a non-object in /var/www/html/sites/all/modules/views_slideshow/theme/views-slideshow-pager-field-field.tpl.php on line 17
Turning off the views_slideshow:cycles portion let the page load, but we rolled back to 3.3 so that the content would display properly. Unfortunately, we can't leave the site that way for you to look at. I have the issue duplicated on a dev server, but it's not publicly accessible.
This is my first Drupal bug report; please let me know how I can do a better job!

nickdickinsonwildeThat's pretty ideal - you described the error including an error message with a line and as much a you know about replicating it. *should* be easy to fix...

nickdickinsonwildeThe field in that instance *should* always be an object... but should is a risky assumption at times. Added a check to ensure that it is an object before trying to get an object; in the dev version, which should fix it; please let me know.
