When security release 1.8 was released, 7.x-1.x dev was backed off to 7.x-1.7 , all commits between 7.x-1.7 and 7.x-1.8 were thrown out except the one security change.
All the following issues marked as 'closed fixed' or whatever they're marked as, , they need to be either re-openned as RTBC not committed, or commit them back to 7.x-1.x dev (my preference is for the latter)
#2309053: Spelling suggestions should be case insensitive
#2232723: watchdog messages for solr delete queries ignore "Log successful Apache Solr Search actions" setting
#2463995: drush mark-all option doesn't work with node content types
#2453855: Support for Apache Solr 5.x?
#1973678: Spellcheck index not built, no spellcheck suggestions available.
#1543156: Exclude SolrFilterSubQuery as a whole
#1879762: Use multiterm in the schema for analyzers such as text for solr 3.6+ so that wildcard queries can be analyzed
#2343001: Retain filters checkbox is missing
#2334725: Remove apachesolr_search.pages.inc.orig
#2338591: apachesolr_index_get_entities_to_index() randomly fails

rosk0There is nothing to fix here - all mentioned issues are in the 7.x-1.x branch, there is nothing lost.
