Avatars in selection list don't appear after upgrading to 5.x-2.6, instead the path name appears, e.g. files/avatar_selection/photo3.gif. When I look at the html, the image path is repeated, e.g files/avatar_selection/files/avatar_selection/photo3.gif.

This was originally raised in #260795: Doesn't display avatar picture during selection process comment #13.

The solution is to either:

  • Delete everything from the avatar_selection table and then do a bulk upload on admin/settings/avatar_selection/upload

    • Or

  • Install the attached patch and run update.php
