I searched for all occurrence of getPath() in Search API module. I couldn't understand why getPath() is mentioned as deprecated in these issue.

Sorry, I should've mentioned that this depends on the work in #2799475: Support block and rest displays in the display deriver and might actually already be solved fully there. So I'm going to postpone this issue for a bit.
