I can confirm this, and the bug is still present in date-6.x-2.x-dev. For reference, this CSS rule applies to the date navigation in views of the type "Date Browser".

The original intent must have been either position: relative; or display: block/inline/something but none of these combinations seem to be needed (tried in firebug: they either have no effect, or break the page layout).

Removing the display:relative line fixes validation, and doesn't impact the rendering (the rule was ignored anyway). Patch is attached.
