1) I added a MailChimp Subscription field in user profile , with list and merge vars
2) made is show on registration form ,
3) I can see a checkbox Subscribe on registration form
4) Did two user registrations.
5) On page admin/config/services/mailchimp/fields I clicked on Update MailChimp Mergevar Values and ran the batch process on next page

Result : I cannot see subscribers added to selected list on mailchimp.
