I'm on releasing it this week, I'd love to get #1686588: Use From address properly and #2299479: Use form submit handler to send test email committed.

smtp 7.x-1.4 was released on 5 May 2016
smtp 7.x-1.5 was skipped
smtp 7.x-1.6 was released on 26 Dec 2016
smtp 7.x-1.7 was released on 27 Jun 2017

Issue #1686588: Use From address properly mentioned above still needs review so hopefully it can get in the 7.x-1.8 release
