We're about to re-write this Switzerland based social network, currently written in ASP, to allow for scalibility and improve the front end features.
For simplicity sake, let's say we'll need to re-write the site into something that has features similar to Facebook.
If the objective is to get to a site that is similar in features to Facebook, and that is able to scale up to 100-200K users, would drupal be a good solution? Any other advice?
Thanks!

Thanks, but...
Thanks VM.
Let me ask it differently: if I wanted to write a facebook style site, able to manager a 100-200K users, would Drupal be a good choice for it?
Thanks,
Nir

teamsugar.com is built with drupal. There are quite a few social netoworking sites built on drupal however teamsugar is the first to come to mind.
Othersits can be found in the drupal showcase if youre inclined to do some legwork.

Trying to get insider knowledge
Thanks VM.
I am checking our Drupal community sites, but am also trying to get the view of Drupal experts on whether it's a right solution for writing a 'facebook' in.
Any advice / thoghts much appreciated.
