On the "Site information" configuration page (/admin/config/system/site-information
), the help text for the "Default front page" field reads "Optionally, specify a relative URL to display as the front page. Leave blank to display the default front page." The default value for the field is /node
.
If the field is left blank, instead of defaulting to /node
, users see the contents of the /user
page when they try to access the site front page; their own user page if they are logged in, the log in page if they're not.
Tested on two sites running Drupal 8.0.5, one a freshly created Pantheon site, the other tested in two non-Pantheon hosting environments.
