Since this was about and year ago, and commerce has "only" to add payment gateways and shipping, can't we start already? Is there something important that we need to be ported before starting? :)

I don't get this comment? We have shipping (flat rate in commerce_shipping, plus commerce_fedex) and over 20 payment gateways (including stripe, braintree, authorize.net, paypal, paymill, ingenico, square).
Kazanir has a (not yet functioning) port of commerce_license in progress, as can be seen in the module's issue queue.
