On http://local.mysite.com/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile I am clicking on the "Edit" link for a custom profile and it does not open.

The problem appears to stem from some configuration profiles having invalid names.

Write an update script that checks all available configuration profiles and fix any which have invalid names.

Do you have any custom page caching modules installed? Are you able to see a URL in your browser's status bar when you hover over the link? What admin theme are you using? Do you have any blocks or other HTML or JS things loading on the page that might be covering up the link?

nancydru’s picture

The URL is /admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/edit/

No, no page caching modules.

The link is not covered, it is clearly visible and clickable.

@NancyDru can you confirm if the error is still occurring after upgrading to 7.x-3.2?

It is still happening. It is only the first row that is broken. The other rows include the profile name as part of the URL, bu the first one does not.

First row operations:

<a href="/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/edit/">edit</a>
<a href="/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/delete/">revert</a>
<a href="/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/export/">export</a>

Second row operations:

<a href="/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/edit/issue_test">edit</a>
<a href="/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/delete/issue_test">revert</a>
<a href="/admin/config/system/backup_migrate/settings/profile/export/issue_test">export</a>

Title: cannot edit settings » Incorrect URLs for some custom profiles

Clarifying the title. And this is a bug.

Ok, let's look into this then. Just prepping up a 8.x rc and will revert to 7.x once that's out of the way.
Damien any chance we can get a patch off you :) ? This looks pretty trivial.
Also I could really do with a list of outstanding issues ordered by priority for all branches.

I'll spend some time over the next week triaging.

Thank you !

After going through a bunch of code, I was pointed to the database, where I see a machine_name of "0" for that profile. It is probably an artifact of a problem with an earlier version of the module.

I manually changed the DB to give a reasonable machine_name, and the list is correct now.

Perhaps a hook_update_N() could look for invalid names and fix them.

@NancyDru: That's a good idea for how to approach this problem.
