I use a module called views_fieldsets, its pretty nice. You currently can not use it with views_flipped table. I patched flipped_table to work with that module.
I am also offering to help with the module, current pacthes as its marked as seeking co-maintainers.

Basically the patch just checks if views_fieldsets is avaliable and runs its preprocess functions
The result looks like this when using it with flipped table:

I was added as a maintainer late last year. I'd like to make a dev release with some of the patches waiting for review, but as you can see almost no one checks this project's queue.

I can add you as another maintainer, it would be great if we could both spend a couple of minutes getting the queue cleaned up and push out a release.
