Any chance this module could be extended to allow the user profile along with the content types? It would be great if any tme someone mentioned a members name it would turn into a link to their profile.

Attached patch adds user linking same as term and node linking. User names are linked to user profile. You can select which user roles to link and which to avoid.

I agree with @sanduhrs - this isn't something that Glossify should provide. Please use one of the mentioned modules or create a separate one based on Glossify.
