In CTools Plugin Example when going to ctools_plugin_example/xxxxx the following notice is shown:
Notice: Undefined index: pipeline in panels_panel_context_render()
and also the following alerts in log messages:
Missing text format: 1.
Missing text format: 2.
This happens because in file ctools/ctools_plugin_example/ctools_plugin_example.pages_default.inc $handler->conf is missing the property pipeline. Also 'format' => '1' in $pane->configuration should be 'format' => 'filtered_html'.

The 3 year old patch in #2 to ctools_plugin_example.pages_default.inc
does not apply to the latest ctools 7.x-1.x-dev and (if applicable) needs a reroll.
