DamienMcKennaI've moved the left-over items from the v7.x-1.8 release plan.
japerryWe may need to re-title this as 7.x-1.11 -- 1.10 is most likely going to be a bug release to fix regressions introduced by the core SA that we didn't catch in testing.

DamienMcKennaI've renamed this one and opened #2554511: Plan for CTools 7.x-1.10 release to handle regressions.
japerryLooks like that other issue caused by a core SA wasn't an issue in ctools after all! renaming back to 1.10.

XanoIs there anything blocking us from tagging 7.x-1.10? In other words: is 7.x-1.x-dev unstable? If it's stable, please tag a new release. It's been ten months since the last one.

geerlingguy CreditAttribution: geerlingguy as a volunteer commentedNot only that, there are more and more issues (and mentions) cropping up of ctools being one of the main culprits of PHP 7.0-related notices, like: #2528736: Deprecating PHP4 style constructors

XanoThe same for Payment 7.x-1.x: https://www.drupal.org/pift-ci-job/362657.

japerryAs some may have noticed, I've started going through the ctools queue in preparation for a 1.10 release.
Just a note, most likely there will be a 1.10 release AND a 1.11 release between 2-6 weeks after. Think of the 1.10 release as the beta and the subsequent 1.11 release as the stable version.

japerryCtools 1.10 has been released. Thanks everyone for reviewing and RTBC'ing patches!
If there are followup issues, we should add them to a 1.11 release plan.

TrevorBradley CreditAttribution: TrevorBradley commentedExcellent! With a stable ctools 1.10, I can start to transition my production D7 sites away from my older Ubuntu 12.04 server to my newer 16.04 one. I've been running a few smaller/prototype sites with the dev version and they've been working great so far, but I'd been spooked about moving my larger sites over.
Thank you! :)

DamienMcKennaThanks japerry!
I've started a new plan issue for 1.11: #2785697: Plan for CTools 7.x-1.11 release
Comment #14
DamienMcKennaI moved the RTBC issues that weren't committed to the new 7.x-1.11 issue, and removed the parent issue from the others that weren't committed..
