We had a discussion about translation methods in December 2007 where the conclusion was that we should use .po-file editing for Norwegian Nynorsk contributions (discussion in Norwegian). Since then, there have been no contributions to Nynorsk. Recently, there has been some interest in contributing using the localization server which is in use for Norwegian Bokmål, see http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no/norsk-nynorsk. I suggest that we use that server for contributions to Nynorsk, and that the text on http://drupal.org/project/nn is changed to reflect that.

If someone appears who want to do a sizeable contribution to Nynorsk and strongly prefers .p-file editing, we can reconsider, but for now, it seems likely that contributions will be on the localization server or not at all.

The .po-files should, of course, be exported from http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no/translate/languages/nn/export and uploaded to CVS here regularily.

All existing nynorsk .po files which we gathered from different sources have been imported to the localization server at http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no/norsk-nynorsk

I can do an export from http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no/translate/languages/nn/export and update the translation files in CVS.

The localization server seems to be a more effective process rather than the process stated in the text at http://drupal.org/project/nn. If there will be no objections on using the norwegian localization server for nynorsk as well, I can change the text here at d.o. to reflect that the localization server is being used for development. I am planning to do all the changes on Sunday (11.05.08)

We can also change the text on the localization server to reflect the changes.

It seems that there are no objections regarding using the localization server @ http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no.
