Hi. I provided an initial port to D8 a few months ago that hasn't received any attention (see 2493975).

Can you add me as a maintainer so I can create the new D8 branch? I'm also happy to help out with the other open issues.

Thanks, balsama! Obviously I'm not very involved with insert_view these days. I don't have any projects that use it anymore.
