Hi, I'm having this error: The specified file temporary:///fileMMcLgW could not be copied, because the destination directory is not properly configured. Could you please advise how to fix it? I have already set 777 to /var/www/html/drupal/sites/default/files/tmp folder. thanks!

You need the destination folder to have the proper permissions.
It looks like you were adjusting the permissions on the temporary folder.

This command worked for me.
sudo chown -R _www:_www ./sites/default/files/
