I've installed and correclty configured the eu_coookie_compliance module, but the popup appears in admin pages only.
After a js debugging with Firefox I found this exception:

"Syntax error, unrecognized expression: <div> <div class ="popup-content agreed"> <div id="popup-text"> <p>Grazie per aver accettato i cookie. Ora puoi nascondere questo messaggio o avere maggiori informazioni sui cookie.</p> </div> <div id="popup-buttons"> <button type="button" class="hide-popup-button">Nascondi </button> <button type="button" class="find-more-button" >Maggiori info</button> </div> </div></div>"

The value of Drupal.settings.eu_cookie_compliance.popup_html_agreed doesn't start with '<' but with a newline character and this is no good as this page says.

The front-end theme is built from scratch.

I use php trim() function to prevent empty characters at the begining of string.

I added this patch for 7.x. It should also be added to 8.x (and if there's any interest to 6.x).
