I have turned on debug and I get

clientId: 'spZnwVUQFeir-s4UAAAD' } { uri: 'https://mysite.org:443/nodejs/message',

The url becomes https://mysite.org/nodejs/message auto-magically but I get an error in nodejs:

Failed to parse authentication message: [SyntaxError: Unexpected token <]
Failed message string: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>301 Moved Permanently</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Moved Permanently</h1>
<p>The document has moved <a href="https://mysite.org/nodejs/message">here</a>.</p>

</body></html>

No I haven't.
I'm actually pretty much stumped on this.

The authentication call that is made to the backend is a POST request. Redirection is problematic here, because POST requests are not supposed to be redirected. Even if redirection is enabled, the posted data will not be reposted to the new url. Therefore, the solution to this would be to update the backend url in the config file to the url that you are getting redirected to.
I have made updates to the nodejs app so that it detects redirection and shows a meaningful message for easier troubleshooting.
