Problem/Motivation
During the 2015 usability study, users scanned the Structure page looking for the keywords "forms" and "fields" when they needed to create a content type, but these keywords are not in the content type description.
Here is the current text:
Manage content types, including default status, front page promotion, comment settings, etc.
Proposed resolution
Change the description text to include the keywords "fields" and "input forms".
Could be something like:
Content types
Create and manage fields and input forms for your content.
Remaining tasks
Review the text and create a patch.
User interface changes
New description text for Content types item on the Structure page.

cilefen commentedI would expect "display settings", singular. I realize we are actually talking about Drupal displays.

lewisnymanThanks for working on this. This requires sign off from the UX maintainer, to make sure it follows our guidelines and is consistent with the rest of Drupal.
