So there are already starting to be some Drupal 8 sites in the wild that look pretty decent (thanks to Kevin O'Leary for digging these up):

It might make sense to start a section under https://www.drupal.org/drupal-8.0 to mention these. Especially if we can get them to answer questions like "what made you select D8?" "what were the benefits and drawbacks?" "what would you recommend to others?" etc.

Great suggestion! This is definitely something we'd like to do. Unfortunately, the Association is pretty thin on bandwidth leading up to DrupalCon Los Angeles. We will definitely look at making these changes once DrupalCon is over with, though.

It's safe to say that there are way more great Drupal 8 sites out there in the wild, and since we'll be getting Drupal 9 ready, I'm closing this as outdated.
