Please assign this issue as the parent for any issue that should be included in the forthcoming v7.x-1.0 release.

The most important thing people can do to help with the release is to test & improve all available patches so that they're RTBC-worthy.

Perhaps a RC1 would be nice first? No stable release of this module since 2014

As beta modules are not candidate to security readvisories it's very important to move to a stable release of the module.
Could you please considere porting some of your most weel-tested fixes to a RC or a stable version?
Your module is use by a lots of websites, and myself I used it for almost every website on which I implements Entity References, I think you could go for a stable release soon.
