ok so should i stop working on this or what?

Because i have gone through his code and looks like only admin form is completed other then that every other functionality has been started but not completed yet.

No, don't stop, as the other guy seems to have stopped working on that, but there may be good ideas, or even a good start in his sandbox :)

I just wanted to point that there were 3 issues about porting this modules already, and I wanted to clarify this.

Hey guys! Wondering what the status of this port effort is? I had forked the GitHub project by @mohit_aghera in the above-referenced issue and have it almost done except for some theming bugs, didn't see this issue until recently.

@arpieb kudos to your for working on it.
If your port is working can you please raise PR for my github repo https://github.com/mohit-rocks/menu_icons
so we can merge it and have stable code.
If theming is still pending, let me know. I can request some frontend guys.
