There are many configuration options that are only showing the changes in the site after the cache has been cleared. Currently this is covered through a note after each of those settings with a link to the performance settings page to clear the cache.

More user friendly is to offer a checkbox that, if selected, will flush the cache after the webmaster submits the config form.

Attached patch:

  • provides the requested functionality in the form of a checkbox at the bottom of the config screen
  • remembers the state it was in on the next visit of the config page
  • replaces all notes with the relevant fields that should have the cache cleared with a more appropriate one.
