I upgrade the module to the latest and now I cannot navigate to Manage file display, all the other pages works fine. Do we need to do anything special when upgrade?. Thanks.

Not that I'm aware of. I cannot explain why it's slow for you - it would help if you could debug by helping identify the bottleneck.

Do you have Lightbox2 enabled? For whatever reason it creates zillions of displays. See here: https://drupal.org/node/1924380

I believe that this is a duplicate of #2036023: Adjust "/manage/image/file-display" and like wise to NOT load Lightbox2 and other massively long list of "Enabled Displays"
