Is this possible? Or is Apache nessecary?

Could this be a possible reason my enabled clean url's is greyed out?

it is supposed to be possible (you are talking iis?); search for "isapi_rewrite" or "isapi" for discussions and issues, as well as looking through the handbook pages. apache is just easier, even on windows. the case for/against is really dependent on your situation. good luck!

dead link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so if our hosting provider is using a windows server, that is call IIS??? so thats the docs we should read?
