I'm trying to use this module for term references, just the way i have used it for node references. But after enabling the module i'm not able to see the settings for the term reference field. Can anyone help me with that?

Might want to try testing out patch in #1429288: References dialog for Term reference. You'll want to test the patch against the current dev version.
