We are transferring our D6 site from using on-site videos (via FlashVideo) to embedding from YouTube. FlashVideo uses [video] tag too, which conflicts with Video Filter. There are a lot of videos already on our site, so for me it would be easier to define a new tag ([embed-video:url], for example) in the Video Filter config, since I don't have any new videos added using this module yet (except for tests).

Can you please let me know if this feature is even a possibility (I can always edit the regexp in the module code, but don't really want to do that), or whether I should consider other approaches?

Closing this outdated ticket. D6 version is no longer supported. Also I don't think it is good idea to change the token. User's shouldn't be able to change token pattern.
