I'm running Drupal 7 with Wysiwyg 7.x2.2, Media 7.x-2.0-Dev & FileEntity 7.x-2.0-dev
Wysiwyg editing is working fine and I can use Media Browser to load a graphic and position the graphic in the text box, however when I save/close the edit box the graphic disappears and is replaced with the text "false" at the graphic anchor location.
'Limit allowed HTML tags' is unchecked
'Convert Media tags to markup' is checked
Help please!

We are still having this
We are still having this problem. When you switch to "Source" or "Switch to plain text editor" the media tag disappears and instead I find "false"; image is visible as soon as I load edit page, but every switch to one of above alternative views of markup breaks media embed.
I tried to add hooks as suggested in various bug reports here (https://www.drupal.org/node/1963270), and specifically
but no change at all, always images replaced by "false".
Configuration (text format):
- Convert line breaks into HTML (i.e.
and
)
- Convert URLs into links
- Convert Media tags to markup (This filter will convert [[{type:media... ]] tags into markup. This must be enabled for the Media WYSIWYG integration to work with this input format.)
- Correct faulty and chopped off HTML
Configuration (CKEditor input format):
- Editor appearance / Plugin for embedding files using Media CKEditor
- Advanced content filter / Advanced content filter disabled
- Cleanup and output / Indent the element contents.
- Cleanup and output / Break line before the opening tag.
- Cleanup and output / Break line after the opening tag.
- Cleanup and output / Break line after the closing tag.
- Advanced options / Force pasting as plain text enabled
- Advanced options / HTML Entities enabled (I tried disabled too)
- Advanced options / Custom JS configuration: (config.extraPlugins = 'widget,lineutils';config.allowedContent = true;config.extraAllowedContent = 'img[title,alt,src,data-cke-saved-src,data-media-element,data-fid,class]';)
Configuration (modules):
- Media (media) 7.x-2.0-beta2
- File Entity (file_entity) 7.x-2.0-beta3
- Media CKEditor (media_ckeditor) 7.x-2.0-alpha1
- Media Internet Sources (media_internet) 7.x-2.0-beta2
- Media WYSIWYG (media_wysiwyg) 7.x-2.0-beta2
- Media Vimeo (media_vimeo) 7.x-2.1
- Media Youtube (media_youtube) 7.x-3.0
Configuration (libraries)
- CKEditor 4.5.4
EDIT:
this patch https://www.drupal.org/node/2631934#comment-10653360 seems to resolve the issue (still needs to be put in release)
