There is a calendar.module available in the downloads area.

i installed the module and the calendar appeared. but how to "relate" the calendar and the blog entries together?

That wasn't part of your inital question. When asking a question it is best to describe in total what you are seeking to do.

To have your content related to the calendar dates you will need to do more work and add a few more modules. see: Step by Step Setup of Calendar View for a handbook page on how to accomplish a task of this nature.
