I've just been reading up on the arbitrary workflow states issue for Drupal 8, exciting stuff!

Some of my clients LOVE the revisioning_scheduler functionality and want it on fieldable panel panes so I will be trying to integrate Revisioning for D7 with the Entity API. If there is any interest in this I would be happy to post patches etc. on the Issue queue.

Also advice is always appreciated.

Hi
i am to re-oping this Feature request for Entity revisioning in D7 .

Why ?

In the most most thing we would like to built to represent an Object were based on Content type and it was easy to integrate with Revisioning Module that essentially focus on content .. Nice...
And so, building a kind of CRM , ERP etc .. where we may have Content type like "Organization" , "Office", "Employee" , using the Workflow Module + Revisioning will work well if those kind of intention :

  1. Revisioning for categorized content for "Organization" , "Office", "Employee" etc..
  2. Revisioning with state-based content access control for "Organization" , "Office", "Employee"
  3. Revisioning with Taxonomy Access and Workflow for "Organization" , "Office", "Employee"

NICE TO AUDIT AND MODERATE NODE of those content type.

BUT for module like CRM CORE () or PARTY (May be Relation), in case we would like to avoid going with Content type for "Organization" , "Office", "Employee"... we couldn't benefit of those nice integration between Workflow (THAT HAS SERIOUSLY GROWN UP INCLUDING IT'S CONCEPT OF WORKFLOW ON ENTITY ) and Revisioning module , like : audit , moderation, segregation etc... SO A PATCH / FEATURE FOR THIS will be very very nice for us non-advanced programmers..

thanks
