To be honest, I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question. I posted it in WYSIWYG yesterday and so far, no answer. So with my apologies, here goes...
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the format features of Filtered HTML seem more like plain text.
I would like users to be able to change fonts (faces, sizes, colors, bold, underline, italic, (did I miss anything) plus paragraph breaks.
These features seem to be unavailable. The buttons are there, and they "seem" to work but when the user saves his work they are not activated.
Here are the allowed tags: <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <a> <em> <strong> <cite> <blockquote> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <img> <span> <style> <font> <span style>
I don't know if these are all needed but I do know they don't give me what I want.
Is there a way to enable them (fonts, paragraph breaks, etc.) without having to give users access to Full HTML?
Thanks,
CC

There MUST be a way to have better text formats in Filtered HTML!
What am I missing?

dragonwize commentedYour issue is that you are using the Filtered HTML use the Full HTML format or your own custom format that does not filter the tags being used.
All of this is managed in the admin interface at:
/admin/config/content/formats
